Modern Jive with a difference

Modern Jive (such as Ceroc, Leroc and Blitz Jive) is a partner dance derived from a range of styles - most notably the “Jitterbug” from the 1940’s.  It has been softened and made easier to dance over the decades and it has taken the country by storm. There are literally tens of thousands of Modern Jive Dancers up and down the country.

JiveLatino offers something a little different to the standard Modern Jive danced elsewhere.  We use the same basic moves and structure as Modern Jive but we are heavily inspired by Latino Dance such as Salsa, Rumba and Argentine Tango.  We also like to play around with Latino Music with its sensuous rhythms that make you just want to dance.

[We don’t just stick to Latino music and dance though.  We like to play around with other dance forms and music too.  On a typical JiveLatino Freestyle Dance night you will hear Chart Music, R&B, Soul, Motown, Disco, World Music, Swing, Lindy and lots more].
